The Singapore National Day Parade celebrations, which had everyone seething in excitement, finally came to a close. As we look back, one is reminded of the quiet and humble way in which Bel’Air associates made this nation-wide extravaganza a success. With the very act of sponsorship, we have reaffirmed our faith in Singapore, and we will ever strive for excellence together with this country we call Home.
A Journey in Retrospect
As the millennium opened a new chapter, the Bel’Air Singapore branch office established its roots in this young island state and had since branched out to various parts of Asia. In a bid of reciprocation to this country that has nurtured our growth, we have been enthusiastically doing our bit for the community since then.
Our participation in the annual spectacle of the year – Singapore National Day Parade – started from 2002, where we sponsored NDP umbrellas in a gesture of concern for participants. In 2003, friendship bands enhanced our repertoire. At the same time, MRT trains adorned with the NDP theme also carried the Bel’Air logo, showing our close ties with our motherland.
In 2004, Bel’Air has risen to be the principal sponsor of Singapore’s 39th National Day Parade. This not only meant that our patriotism could take flight, it also signified a recognition of our efforts thus far. As spectacular waves of publicity swept through Singapore, everyone’s attention was also inadvertently drawn towards the Bel’Air logo, thus entrenching our corporate image amongst the masses.
Bel’Air in NDP 2004
The 2004 Singapore National Day Parade was part of the month-long ‘Celebrate Singapore’ affair of super-charged entertainment, star-studded concerts, fireworks display and live performances. One of the breakthrough events was the inaugural Singapore Fireworks Festival which lasted for three Sunday nights. The opening night was proudly sponsored by Bel’Air and served as the high-profile prelude to the nation’s 39th Birthday. This highly acclaimed aerial pyrotechnic display on “Bel’Air Night” was all about illuminating the sky with a plethora of explosions and whistling, blinding flashes and showers of light. This was punctuated by the awestruck and appreciative cheers to signify a job well done.
This was not all. On the actual National Day Parade on 9th August, Bel’Air has also sponsored products for the goodie bag. Our dazzling logo, together with those of other big corporations which were also part of the sponsorship repertoire, would then be brought into the household of each and every participant, leaving its indelible imprint in people’s mind over the course of time. A value-added gift indeed for a conscientious enterprise that has come this far in reciprocation towards our motherland.
